Dear Community Member –

Last year, a small group of people started a grassroots effort to celebrate community, diversity, and authenticity for LGBTQIA+ people. The very first Grand Haven Pride Festival took place on June 10, 2023. The intent was to provide food, drink and entertainment for a couple of hundred people. Instead, we had THOUSANDS of people come out to support each other and their loved ones! It was an epic day of celebration, perseverance, and happiness. The vendor market was so successful that multiple booths sold out of their product within hours, one business sold out twice! Our ATM ran out of money multiple times. The food trucks offered amazing dishes for all visitors. The biggest Drag names in our area gave us spectacular shows. It was a bigger success than any of us could have hoped for… and we want to do it AGAIN!!

This year, there is also a goal is to expand this organization beyond the festival. We are working on becoming a 501c3 non-profit to allow us to offer more resources, assistance, and opportunities to the Queer community. The first social events have been held and we have more planned in the coming months. We want Grand Haven Pride to be a year-round success and we cannot do that without your help!
